In 2021, the rice harvest area will reach around 1.60 million hectares with production of 9.11 million tons of GKG

The rice harvest area in 2021 will reach around 1.60 million hectares, an increase of 17.22 thousand hectares or 1.09 percent compared to 2020 which was 1.59 million hectares. Rice production in 2021 is 9.11 million tons of GKG, an increase of 96.80 thousand tons of GKG or 1.07 percent compared to 2020 which was 9.02 million tons of GKG. Rice production in 2021 for food consumption for the population will reach 5.26 million tons, an increase of 55.90 thousand tons or 1.07 percent compared to rice production in 2020 which was 5.21 million tons.
