West Java's 2022 rice harvest area is estimated at 1.69 million hectares with production of around 9.62 million tons of GKG

The rice harvest area in 2022 is estimated at 1.69 million hectares, an increase of 81.19 thousand hectares or 5.06 percent compared to the rice harvest area in 2021 which was 1.60 million hectares. Rice production in 2022 is estimated at 9.62 million tons of GKG, an increase of 0.51 million tons of GKG or 5.56 percent compared to rice production in 2021 which was around 9.11 million tons of GKG. Rice production in 2022 for food consumption for the population is estimated to be around 5.56 million tons, an increase of 0.29 million tons or 5.56 percent compared to rice production in 2021 which was 5.26 million tons.
