Abstract

The data provided shows that the overall room occupancy rate (TPK) of star and non-star hotels reached 40.03 percent. This figure shows that slightly more than two out of five hotel rooms were occupied by guests in any given measurement period. Even though this is quite enough, keep in mind that this figure is an average for all types of hotels, both star and non-star. The ROR for each hotel may vary depending on several factors, such as: Location: Hotels in popular tourist locations generally have a higher ROR than hotels in remote areas. Season: ROR in the high season is usually higher than in the low season. Hotel type: Luxury hotels generally have a higher ROR than budget hotels. Facilities and services: Hotels with more complete facilities and services generally have a higher ROR. Therefore, it is difficult to draw definitive conclusions about the state of the hotel industry based solely on these national ROR figures. Further analysis is needed taking into account other factors to get a more complete picture. However, in general, the ROR of 40.03 percent shows that the hotel industry in Indonesia has still not fully recovered from the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. There is still a lot of room for improvement in TPK, which means opportunities for hotels to increase revenue and profits. Here are several important points that can be drawn from this TPK data: Demand for hotel accommodation is still there, but has not returned to pre-pandemic levels. The hotel industry needs to continue to improve to attract more guests and increase ROR. The government can help the hotel industry by providing stimulus and pro-business policies. With joint efforts from all parties, it is hoped that the hotel industry in Indonesia can recover and develop rapidly in the future.
