Abstract

The highest inflation occurred in Subang Regency at 2.90 percent with a CPI of 108.47 and the lowest occurred in Cirebon City at 1.18 percent with a CPI of 104.70

The month to month (m-to-m) inflation rate for West Java Province in August 2024 is 0.07 percent, while the year to date (y-to-d) inflation rate is 1.23 percent

Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in the expenditure group index, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 3.71 percent; clothing and footwear group by 1.77 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at 0.63 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group of 1.06 percent; health group by 2.50 percent; transportation group by 1.35 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 3.54 percent; education group of 2.06 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 2.13 percent; personal care and other services group amounted to 7.99 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure groups that experienced a decline in the index were: information, communication and financial services groups by 0.35 percent
