The Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) for August 2022 in West Java was 8.31 percent

The Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) in August 2022 was 8.31 percent, down 1.51 percentage points compared to August 2021 which was 9.82 percent. The total workforce in August 2022 was 25.58 million people, an increase of 0.84 million people compared to August 2021. The Labor Force Participation Rate (TPAK) increased by 1.20 percentage points from 64.95 percent to 66.15 percent. A total of 10.64 million people (45.39 percent) worked in formal activities, an increase of 0.51 million people compared to August 2021. The percentage of underemployed and part-time workers decreased, respectively, by 3.18 percentage points and 1.29 percentage points compared to August 2021.
