Abstract

West Java exports in December 2022 decreased by 3.13% compared to November 2022. The export value reached USD 2.98 billion, which shows that export activity in West Java weakened slightly at the end of 2022. Despite the decline, West Java's export value in December 2022 was still higher than December 2021. Compared to the previous year, West Java's exports in December 2022 increased by 6.52%. The decline in exports in December 2022 was caused by several factors, including a decline in global demand, fluctuations in currency exchange rates and supply chain disruptions. Despite this, West Java remains the province with the largest export contribution in Indonesia. Cumulatively, West Java's export value during January-December 2022 reached USD 38.59 billion, or 13.22% of total national exports. Some of the main products exported from West Java in December 2022 include textile products and textile products, electronic products and rubber products. The West Java Provincial Government continues to strive to increase the competitiveness of export products and diversify export destination markets. These efforts are carried out through various programs, such as improving product quality, promoting superior products, and facilitating access to financing for business actors.
