Abstract

The Hotel Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) in West Java in January 2023 experienced a significant decline. Compared to December 2022, the TPK for West Java Hotels in January 2023 fell 9.16 points, reaching 39.15 percent. Some important points: The decrease in ROR occurred in: Almost all hotel classifications Except for 1 star hotels which have experienced a slight increase It is thought to be due to seasonal factors and reduced tourist visits Deepest decline in ROR: 5-star hotels: down 16.59 points 4-star hotels: down 12.91 points Regions with the lowest ROR: Cirebon City: 24.77 percent Bogor City: 25.92 percent Impact: Decline in hotel revenue Reduced job opportunities in the hotel sector Despite the decline, the TPK for West Java Hotels in January 2023 was still higher than the national Hotel TPK which reached 36.87 percent. It is hoped that with various efforts, Hotel TPK in West Java can rise again and the tourism sector can recover. Notes: The hotel TPK data above is the average for all of West Java. ROR for hotels in some areas may vary. This hotel's TPK data only shows the room occupancy rate, not the hotel's income level. Sustainable efforts need to be made to increase the competitiveness of West Java's hospitality sector and attract more tourists.
