Abstract

West Java's economy in the first quarter of 2023 experienced growth of 5.00 percent (year-on-year). This figure shows an increase in economic activity in West Java compared to the same period in 2022. Compared to Quarter IV-2022: West Java's economy experienced growth of 0.52 percent (q-to-q). Some important points: Main contributors to growth: Processing Industry Business Field Trade and Information and Communication Business Fields Business Field Providing Accommodation and Food and Drink Expenditure components experiencing growth: Household Consumption Expenditures Gross Fixed Capital Formation Export of Goods and Services Sectors experiencing growth: Food and beverage processing industry Textile industry and textile products Chemical and pharmaceutical industry Retail trade Hospitality and restaurants West Java's economic growth shows the ongoing economic recovery in West Java. It is hoped that with various efforts, the West Java economy can continue to grow and make a greater contribution to the national economy. Notes: National economic growth in Quarter I-2023 was 5.03 percent. West Java's economy is growing at the same rate as the national economy. Sustainable efforts need to be made to maintain economic growth and improve the welfare of the people of West Java.
