Abstract

In September 2024, year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation in West Java Province will be 2.09 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 106.68. The highest inflation occurred in Bekasi City at 2.34 percent with a CPI of 107.05 and the lowest occurred in Cirebon City at 0.83 percent with a CPI of 104.54
Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in the expenditure group index, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 2.93 percent; clothing and footwear group by 1.72 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at 0.65 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group of 1.06 percent; health group by 2.52 percent; transportation group at 0.54 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 3.53 percent; education group at 2.27 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 2.14 percent; and the personal care and other services group at 8.23 ​​percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure groups that experienced a decline in the index were: information, communication and financial services groups by 0.45 percent.
