July 2024, Year on Year (y-on-y) inflation in West Java Province will be 2.25 percent

In July 2024, year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation in West Java Province will be 2.25 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 106.83. The highest inflation occurred in Bekasi City at 2.75 percent with a CPI of 107.47 and the lowest occurred in Cirebon City at 1.01 percent with a CPI of 104.67. Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in the expenditure group index, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 3.71 percent; clothing and footwear group by 1.77 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at 0.47 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group of 0.87 percent; health group by 2.47 percent; transportation group by 1.03 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 3.55 percent; education group of 1.59 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 2.00 percent; personal care and other services group amounted to 7.48 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure groups that experienced a decline in the index were: information, communication and financial services groups by 0.34 percent. The month to month (m-to-m) inflation rate for West Java Province in July 2024 is 0.06 percent, while the year to date (y-to-d) inflation rate is 1.16 percent.
