Results of the 2020 Population Census in West Java Province

SP2020 recorded the population of West Java in September 2020 as 48.27 million people. Compared with the results of the previous census, the population of West Java continues to increase. In the ten year period since 2010, the population of West Java has increased by around 5.2 million people or an average of 0.44 million every year. In the last ten years (2010-2020), West Java's population growth rate was 1.11 percent per year. There is a reduction in the population growth rate of around 1.5 percentage points compared to the 1971-1980 period which was 2.61 percent.
