West Java Economic Growth in the First Quarter of 2021 Contracted 0.83 Percent

West Java's economy based on the size of Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) at current prices in the first quarter of 2021 reached IDR 535.89 trillion and at constant prices in 2010 it reached IDR 368.28 trillion. West Java's economy in the first quarter of 2021 compared to the first quarter of 2020 contracted 0.83 percent (y-on-y), a decrease compared to the achievement in the first quarter of 2020 of 2.77 percent. In terms of production, the lowest growth was achieved by the Corporate Services Business Field at -10.64 percent. In terms of expenditure, this was achieved by the Government Consumption Expenditure Component which contracted by 5.63 percent.
