Abstract

In June 2022, the West Java Combined CPI which includes 7 cities, namely Bogor City, Sukabumi City, Bandung City, Cirebon City, Bekasi City, Depok City and Tasikmalaya City experienced an increase in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) from 111.63 in May 2022 to 112 .27 in June 2022; Thus, there was inflation of 0.57 percent. The inflation rate for the calendar year "year to date" (January 2022 - June 2022) was 3.43 percent and the inflation rate from year to year "year on year" (June 2022 to June 2021) was recorded at 4.41 percent. Of the 11 (eleven) expenditure groups, those experiencing inflation were the Food, Beverage & Tobacco Group at 1.91 percent; Housing, Water, Electricity & Home Fuel group at 0.16 percent; Household Supplies, Equipment & Routine Maintenance Group at 0.40 percent; Health Group at 0.03 percent; Recreation, Sports & Culture group at 0.15 percent; Food & Beverage/Restaurant Provision Group at 0.21 percent; and the Personal Care & Other Services Group at 0.27 percent. Those experiencing deflation were the Clothing & Footwear Group at 0.04 percent; and the Transportation Group at 0.02 percent. Meanwhile, Information, Communication & Financial Services Group; and the Education Group did not experience any changes. Of the seven CPI monitoring cities in West Java in June 2022, all experienced inflation, namely Bogor City at 0.75 percent; Sukabumi City at 0.58 percent; Bandung City at 0.74 percent; Cirebon City at 0.48 percent; Bekasi City at 0.49 percent; Depok City at 0.53 percent; and Tasikmalaya City at 0.41 percent.
