BPS Sumedang Regency Visit to Unpad Statistics Corner

Jatinangor, 18 July 2024 - Head of the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Sumedang Regency, Sudiyanto, visited the Statistics Corner of Padjadjaran University (Unpad) in Jatinangor today. This visit aims to obtain information about the Unpad Statistics Corner and the collection of available statistical data, as well as to establish communication and cooperation with Unpad in the field of utilizing statistical data for regional development. During his visit, the Head of BPS was accompanied by BPS officials from Sumedang Regency and welcomed by representatives of Padjadjaran University at the Unpad Statistics Corner. For discussion, he then reviewed the facilities and collections of statistical data available at the Unpad Statistics Corner, such as computers, books and statistical publications. The Head of BPS also took the time to discuss with representatives of Padjadjaran University about the use of statistical data. In the discussion, the Head of BPS said that statistical data has an important role in regional development, because statistical data can be used for various purposes, such as: Knowing the socio-economic conditions of the community Formulating regional development policies that are right on target Evaluating the effectiveness of regional development programs. The Head of BPS also encouraged Unpad academics to utilize statistical data in research and community service. Apart from that, the visit of the Head of BPS Sumedang Regency to the Unpad Statistics Corner is expected to increase cooperation between BPS Sumedang Regency and Padjadjaran University in the field of utilizing statistical data for regional development. Unpad Statistics Corner Unpad Statistics Corner is a statistical information and education service provided by BPS Sumedang Regency in collaboration with Padjadjaran University. Unpad Statistics Corner provides various kinds of statistical data, such as population data, economic data, social data and cultural data. Unpad Statistics Corner also provides statistical consultation services for Unpad students and the general public.
