Following up on the dissemination of the results of the 2023 Agricultural Census Phase I, BPS West Java Province held a Regional Coordination Meeting for the 2023 Agricultural Census in Bogor, 4-7 December. At the opening of the coordination meeting, it began with a welcome speech by Marsudijono, Head of BPS West Java Province, Tuesday (5/12).
"Thanks to the hard work, solidarity and commitment of all levels of BPS, OPD and officers throughout West Java, we have just released the results of the 2023 Agricultural Census phase I, thank you to everyone involved. However, ST2023 is not over yet, there is still phase II which we will release in 2024 "We must remain committed and consistent in producing quality data," said Marsudijono.
Deputy for Production Statistics of BPS RI M. Habibullah had the opportunity to attend, in his direction he expressed his appreciation for BPS West Java Province and said that West Java is ranked 4th in the province with the highest percentage of urban farming businesses in Indonesia, namely 0.098 percent or there are 3,231 units. Urban farming is UTP in urban areas that cultivates agriculture on limited land where most of the planting media is not on the ground surface, and uses hydroponic, verticulture and other technologies.
Regional coordination meetings are a joint effort to make integrated unified data easier. Because the existence of accurate data is a crucial point in development policy in Indonesia.
Two presenters who were competent in their fields were also present. Moderated by Isti Larasati Widiastuty as Chair of the Social Function Team. The first speaker was Lala M. Kolopaking as the Advisory Board of the Center for Development Studies at IPB University with the theme Sustainable Agricultural Development; Answering the Issue of Function Transfer in West Java. Second Speaker Iskandar Zulkarnain and Diskominfo District Statistics. Bogor with the theme Maintaining Data Accuracy and Integration.
Also present were the Head of the General Section of BPS West Java Province, Functional Middle Experts, Heads of BPS Districts/Cities throughout West Java, OPD and representatives of BPS employees throughout West Java. In the same event, BPS West Java Province gave appreciation to district/city BPS for each section/function. Hopefully it will increase everyone's enthusiasm for performance.
